Abstract
Immigration and unequal access to psychiatric services
The work describes the different possibilities of access to psychiatric services in the region of Lombardia, and in immigrant subjects specific to the city ofCremona, referring to the cultural diversity of origin groups. It highlights, in particular, the lack of tools and dedicated human resources that would make contact with this part of the population, belonging to other cultures, more effective and more incisive than psychological and psychiatric problems. Finally, it emphasis the need to develop a network, on a regional basis, of epidemiological observatories, which promote the dissemination of information and improve local practices to cope with changes that occur in the area quickly.
